In August 2023 Tommy Poole, my son-in-law, was diagnosed with a grade 4 glioblastoma. This was just days after his 27th birthday. Within 2 months he was taken from us by this horrific disease. He left a wife and 2 small children, as well as a large family of brothers and sisters, mourning the loss of such an amazing man.
The Race for Hope DC raises funds for brain cancer research. The 5k is on May 4th which happens to be my daughter and Tommy's wedding anniversary. As a way to honor Tommy and his memory my daughter participates in the 5k. These freshies are made in a few chosen scents that remind us of Tommy and his favorite things. All profits will be donated to the Race for Hope DC in Tommy's memory. The funds raised will go toward research to find a cure so that no family has to lose a loved one to this disease.
